Does Winston AI save my scanned documents?
Does Winston AI save my scanned documents?
Yes. Winston AI stores submitted text and images with their analysis results so that reports remain available in your dashboard. Your content stays associated with your account while the corresponding report exists.
Why is submitted content stored?
Storage allows you to return to previous scans, review the results, and manage reports from your account. Submitted content is processed to provide the analysis features you select, such as AI detection, plagiarism checking, fact checking, writing feedback, grammar analysis, image analysis, or essay grading.
What happens when I delete a report?
When you delete a report, the submitted content associated with that report is deleted from active storage within 30 days.
The deleted content may remain in encrypted backup systems for up to 90 additional days. After that period, it is permanently purged unless Winston AI is legally required to retain it for longer.
What happens when I delete my account?
Deleting your account also removes its submitted content and analysis reports from active storage within 30 days. The same encrypted-backup period of up to 90 additional days applies.
For account deletion instructions, see How to Delete Your Winston AI Account.
How are saved documents protected?
User-submitted content is encrypted at rest and in transit and stored in access-controlled cloud systems. Access is restricted to authorized personnel on a strict need-to-know basis.
