Winston AI vs. the Winston AI Developer API
Winston AI actually lives in two places.

app.gowinston.ai is the everyday web app. You log in, paste or upload your text or images, and Winston AI tells you how likely they were generated by AI. It's point-and-click, with reports you can download and share.
Developers, on the other hand, work at dev.gowinston.ai. That site lets you create API keys so your own software—an LMS, a CMS, or any custom script—can call the very same detection engine automatically. The API uses credits instead of per-scan payments and shows your usage and rate limits in a dashboard.
Accounts are separate on purpose: your web-app username and password won't open the developer portal, and an API key won't sign you in to the app. If you need to copy-paste text and get a quick answer, stick with app.gowinston.ai. If you need code that checks dozens—or thousands—of documents for you, create an API account on dev.gowinston.ai.
Full technical details (endpoints, request samples, error codes) live in our public docs at docs.gowinston.ai.
